Templar preceptories across Europ and Middle-East

During the two centuries of its existence, the Order of The Templars took up several kinds of buildings : churches, chapels, castles, fortified farms or not fortified, mills, etc...
Sometimes these buildings were given as donations and sometimes Templars had to build them in "virgin" places.

As the Cistercian Order, the Templars had had sometimes to bring land into cultivation, to manage forests, to drain swamps before be able to settle down and to spread out.
